BOLECTION FIREPLACE
The Bolection fireplace is another Queen Anne design where the focus is on luxuriant curves rather than just the linear. A fire surround equally appropriate for either a contemporary or traditional setting. More

Bolection (bilection): A prominent moulding with a bold projecting roll used to frame or divide panel sections and the openings of fireplaces.
Queen Anne reigned from March 1702 to August 1714. Anne's death ended the Stuart dynasty as she had no surviving children. Born on February 6th 1665, her father was James II.
She was shy, conscientious, stout, gouty, shortsighted and very small. Anne was 'homely', and she did not have a particularly happy married life. Her husband, Prince George of Denmark, was a drunk and a crashing bore!
